Caution regarding “Enterprise Lithuania” name infringement
We would like to warn foreign and Lithuanian companies about the illegal use of the name of the Public Institution “Enterprise Lithuania” for possible criminal and commercial purposes that are not related to the activities of the institution.
We would like to inform the fact that “Enterprise Lithuania” has received information about the illegal use of the institution’s name when submitting fraudulent commercial export offers to foreign companies. We would like to emphasize that Public Institution “Enterprise Lithuania” does not export goods or services to foreign countries, nor does it engage in any commercial activities in the domestic market.
Public Institution “Enterprise Lithuania” is an agency established by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania to promote entrepreneurship, the start-up ecosystem and exports in Lithuania. One of the goals of the institution is to satisfy public interests and carry out activities that benefit society by promoting entrepreneurship, increasing the competitiveness of Lithuanian companies and helping Lithuanian companies to establish themselves in international markets. The institution provides free consultations, organizes business events, trainings, etc.
Please note that it is necessary to check the credibility of each request, even if you receive it from a known, trusted brand or company. Fraudsters often use strong brands and names of reputable companies to draw attention, but it is necessary to carefully assess whether the contacts listed are official. The first signs that may indicate of possible illegal use are: misspelled text, unofficial e-mail address and domain, such as email from Gmail, inaccurate name (one or more letters may be missing, or extra characters may be added), an unofficial phone number, etc.

In order to prevent illegal actions, Public Institution “Enterprise Lithuania” intends to apply to law enforcement authorities for the illegal use of a name for possible criminal purposes, if the individual/organization intends to make illegal profits in relation to using Public Institution “Enterprise Lithuania” name.

Up to date, Lithuania has less than 1900 total cases and less than 100 deaths related to COVID-19. This shows that the response from the government agencies, business and the population has been effective.
The quarantine, that lasted for three months in Lithuania, not only has stimulated the business to reorient and to pay close attention to e-commerce, but has also changed consumer habits. A poll of Lithuanian population revealed that during the quarantine every fifth person bought more than usual online, and nearly a fifth of the respondents intends to continue buying more online. During this period, the scale of e-commerce in the Baltic States in general has increased by 80%, and consignment flows in Lithuania grew by 54%.
